There is now a new game mode, "hardcore" which has no hints and 20 second time limit per question.

To start a hardcore game just do "!hardcore" or "!HC", which you can optionally follow with a number of questions in the round to be played.

Hardcore questions are awarded 6 points for each correct answer regardless of how quick you answer as opposed to 4, 2 and 1 points in a normal round or 8, 4 and 2 points in a quickfire round.

TriviaBot now supports questions containing a picture! You can submit questions with an image via our usual question submission process, and will see them in games of Trivia, for example you may be asked to identify a Pokemon by its picture, or a video game character.

We will be rolling this out in the smaller categories first, and over time you will see more of these new types of question!

TriviaBot economy now live!

It is with much excitement I can announce that TriviaBot Premium members can now add their own questions to the bot for use in their own server! These personalised questions are not subject to our moderation and appear in your server immediately in a new category called "Server". If you lose premium for any reason, these questions will remain but become inaccessible.

TriviaBot Premium subscribers may add up to 2000 questions to the bot for their server, we recommend that for good gameplay experience you add at least 200 (however there is no minimum limit - if you do not have enough questions to play a round, then your questions may repeat).

All users with moderator access to the server (according to the TriviaBot dashboard) will have access to add, view and delete these new questions.

I am happy to announce that the bot's commands now work in DM! Simply invite the bot to a server you're in so that you have at least one server in common with the bot, right click it and start a DM. You'll be able to run the bot's commands there, without having to worry about another user scrolling your game session away!

We are happy to announce this bot now supports all 30 languages supported by discord. The bot will detect your language based on your Discord locale.  At persent the translations will need some work, if you have any suggestions please let me know on the support server.

There is now a new questline in the game. Investigate the lighthouse of Valley City Port - Its light is extinguished and its owners need your help. 

Will you be the hero to shed light upon this mystery and save Valley City from disaster? Report to the Port at Valley City immediately to see if you've got what it takes.

This quest line is NOT for the faint of heart. You will encounter enemies that may challenge your very existence and chill your very soul. Venture forth if you dare!

This quest will vary depending upon your chosen profession.  Should you perservere and succeed however, the rewards will be vast and worthwhile!

Hunt and Cook!
Feeling hungry, adventurers? You can now hunt for game, and cook food in @Seven Spells ⚔!

Hunting
Hunting is as easy as clicking the "🦌 Go Hunting" button at the bottom of the bot's messages. Well, that part is easy, finding something to eat might not be! You will be more successful at finding wild animals to hunt the further from human habitation you are. If you successfully hunt, you will obtain some animal parts which will go into your inventory. These animal parts can be directly sold but are all only worth 1 🪙  gold each. They also cannot be directly eaten, however they may be dropped. If however you cook them in a recipe, the value of the cooked meal is far greater than the sum of its parts, and it can then be eaten (see below).
Beware however, failing to find anything while hunting will subtract a stamina point.

There are hundreds of different animal parts to discover, so get out there and fill your pack with them!

Cooking
You can cook animal parts, and even mix in existing food you have already cooked, by clicking the " :I_C_Meat: Cook Food" button which will take you to the camp fire. The camp fire will present you with a list of ingredient items you have gathered by hunting, or from foraging the ground where other players have fallen or discarded it. Below this will be a list of dishes you may cook at the camp fire. If you do not have the ingredients to make the recipe, it will not be listed, so you might want to take note of recipies you have discovered and trade them with your friends!

Cooked food has significant bonuses to your stats, even compared to potions, so it is in your interests to hunt, cook, and trade recipies with your friends and allies.

There are nearly 100 different recipies to discover, some of them with very large values if sold, and very large stat buffs. More recipies will be added over the coming days too, please be aware most recipies require more than one ingredient, very few are available with just one.

So, go out there, get hunting, and get cooking! The local wildlife will NOT forgive you...

Hunt and Cook Now Available

I am happy to announce that achievements are now live in Seven Spells ⚔! You can gain achievements for many things, there are 49 achievements in the game.

You will be told when you have unlocked an achievement, and each achievement has a unique image - collect them all! You can view your or anyone elses achievement list via the new /achievements command. This works like the profile, if you do not put a parameter it will show your own achievements.

Some achievements are secret, meaning when you view someone elses achievements, they will only show if you have unlocked them too.

Achievements Unlocked!

It is with much fanfare that i finally bring status effects to Seven Spells ⚔! This means that you can now:

Cast many spells outside of combat
Drink and consume many things in your inventory that you could not before

Non-combat spells
You will notice that there is now a new "Spells" button at the bottom of the page. This button will take you to the grimoire (spell book) where you can select from and cast any non-combat spells. You will still need to be in combat to cast combat spells (there really is no point in throwing a fireball across the empty countryside!).
Choosing a spell from this list, if you have the mana to cast it, will instantly cast the spell. Most spells have effects. The effects are split into two parts:

1) The spell's active effect - during this time, the spell will do what it is supposed to do
2) A cooldown period - during this time you cannot cast the spell again until the cooldown has expired. Many spells have a negative effect during the cooldown period much like a withdrawal effect.

Consuming food/drink items
Alongside the new spells section, various consumable items may now be usable in your inventory. Please be careful what you put in your mouth, not all things you can put in your cake hole will do you good, some will in fact do you great harm!

Viewing active effects
When you view your own /profile, your active effects will be shown at the bottom of your profile, with how long until they expire or their cooldown is done. You may have multiple effects active at once, but only ever one of the same type at the same time.

So, go forth adventurers! Eat random items, cast random spells, and enjoy!
