GameTime LFG

Easily set filters on your LFG requests to control who you match with and who can join your game. When matchmaking is complete, LFG will create a private thread with the group. Game on!

Create an event

Fixed party sizes (i.e first X people) /lfg num_players:2 Will create an event when 2 other people have joined

Flexible party sizes (at least X people) /lfg num_players:2+ Will create an event when at least 2 other people have joined. An event like this has no max so it will create the thread when you have your minimum party size and continue to allow guests to join

Semi flexible party sizes (at least X and at most Y people) /lfg num_players:2-4 Similar to the above, but it will stop allowing people to RSVP once 4 other players have joined

Creating events with filters LFG shines when you start adding filters. Filters allow you to add requirements as to who can join your match. This means you can require party members to have a microphone, speak a certain language, be on a particular console, or play in a region close to you. By default when you create a game it will use your active filter, but you can add in the :filter option to specify a different filter configuration to use when creating your game.

Modify your active filter You can update your active filter at any time by running the /filters command. Running this command will also provide you with a link where you can create new filters in the GameTime web app.

Switching active filter configuration There are two ways to switch your active filter config:

• Run /set_active_filter and select the filter you want to switch to
• Run /filters and click on the generated link to toggle there

Joining an event Joining a LFG event is easy - just press the “Join event” button on the LFG command. LFG will check to see if your current profile is eligible to join the event based on the required filters. If you do not have a profile set you will be prompted to do so. When you join an event you will be added to the RSVP list. Once an event has the required number of RSVPs GameTime will create a thread* and @mention all the members of the party.

*Some guilds do not allow public/private threads to be created. In this case, GameTime will send a reply to the original /lfg command that mentions all party members. We recommend asking your guild server to grant GameTime LFG bot permission to create threads as it helps reduce clutter and noise.

Profiles Profiles operate very similarly to filters but are only read when joining an event that has required filters. Run the /profile command to modify your active profile. You can always create or manage your profiles by clicking on the generated web app link.

Switching active profile configuration There are two ways to switch your active profile:

• Run /set_active_profile and select the profile name you want to switch to
• Run /profile and click on the generated link to toggle there
