Hey guys,

I'm here with some disappointing news; Robertify will be fully migrating to slash commands starting on April 1, 2022, at 12 AM EST.

The reason for this change is due to Discord placing new restrictions on how bots can interact with the content of messages. Meaning without special access from Discord, bots won't be able to see whatever you send in a message. I've tried applying for this feature and unfortunately was denied, which resorts to me fully migrating to slash commands and interactions. There are already quite a lot of slash commands implemented, so I suggest that you get familiar with them.

What will be affected?
The use of prefix commands will be abandoned, there will be no way to support them anymore. Also, the easy interaction of playing music in your request channels will no longer exist. Playing music will be done strictly through slash commands. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may bring to all of Robertify's users.

On a lighter note..., an update should be coming to the bot soon (v3.2.0). It'll include reminders, which is a very useful features, and some critical bug fixes. I'm aware of the random bug that happens every few days where the bot seems to be stuck on adding a track to the queue, I have been trying fixes and monitoring how they do.


TL;DR
- Prefix commands will no longer exist. There will be a migration to slash commands starting the middle of this month.
- Get familiar with the slash commands that already exist!
- New updating (v3.2.0) coming soon (Reminders, bug fixes, etc..)

was working great but is acting really buggy and just stops playing out of nowhere.

Edit: i don't know what maintenance you did yesterday but you completely broke the bot.

Sorry about that! ☹️ We're not exactly familiar with the bugginess you're referring to but updates are provided often with the bot. In order to update we have to take the bot offline which, unfortunately, interrupts your music. Currently, the bot is working with 100% functionality and an update was recently provided with many features. We're sorry that you had a bad experience with the bot, but we're working hard to make your experience the best it can be everyday. Thanks for the feedback!

It works really well, but when shuffling playlists it repeats the songs already played! It has played a song three times already while other haven't been played once.

I tried favoriting a song i played with a file and it didn't worked. Is there any reason ?

Presently, Robertify has reached 100 servers and is unable to join any more servers until we are verified. We've already applied for verification and are waiting on a response from Discord, so please be patient with us. With that being said, thank you all for inviting my bot to your servers. Let's hope that verification gets sorted out quickly so Robertify can keep growing to provide you with the great service it's already providing in 100 servers!

Verification Status

Hey everyone! I'm happy to announce that Robertify has been fully verified by Discord and it is now able to join more than 100 servers! Once again, thank you to everyone that has been using the bot, your continued use and support means a lot. With all of that being said, make sure to vote for us on all supported websites using the vote command! Each vote will help grow Robertify.

In other news, Robertify may have to start fully migrating to the use of slash commands instead of regular prefix commands due to some API changes. I will still have to apply to hopefully keep the functionality of the requests channel on-going, but if not: prefix commands will not be able to be used starting the middle of March. With that being said, slash commands are fully functional once again and more will be added in the future.
