Changelog v2.0

Nothing new regarding the verification, but I decided to bring some small updates:

⌛  You can now choose if you want to get notified/don't want to get notified when your cooldown for the "work start" command is over.

You can do that by clicking on one of the buttons. Keep in mind that the reminder resets after the cooldown is over. Alchemist will contact you via direct message for now, so keep it open!

❓  Want to know when the cooldown for all the work-commands is over? Simply run "work cooldowns" and have a look. (I will also do that for the other commands!)

Some more information:

The translation into German is 90% done, I will just make some final checks and add some missing translations. As soon as the bot gets verified I will publish the multilanguage "BETA".

🔁  I will run weekly backups on the server. If you encounter any errors or miss some data, let me know.

Cooldown command

🏁  Thank you all for participating in the translation project. All the "Cogs" are translated and can be published once the bot is verified. All the translators are now listed in the new "botinfo" command.

🚫  The Spotify commands did not come out for a reason: Since I can't use the OAuth2 method of the "spotipy" library, my console is spammed with a "Cache" error but the commands and events work as they should. I will try to find a solution for that and let you give it a test!*

❗️  Somehow, the bot sent out the "work reminder" messages twice. I will have an eye on that and also restarted the bot. I'll keep you updated on that! If you now receive the message twice, please inform me!

✅  "Modals" are now available. You can fill out some kind of "form" and send it into the server. What would you like to see with this new feature? Let me know!

Goal achieved! 🎉

Finally, it is done! Discord has verified my bot after 5 weeks and unlocked it for the most important intents. During this time I was of course not lazy!
I already worked on many things in the background or added new things.

On February 18, 2022 from 1/2 pm the bot will not be fully accessible for about ~30 minutes, because I implement the following, promised, things:

🉐  Multilanguage: The bot will be available in German and English from then on, unfortunately I could not translate the description of the individual commands yet, but that will follow!

⌛️  Cooldowns: From now on you can display your remaining cooldown for all commands. The command for this will be "module cooldowns" by default. 


What I'm working on right now:

🟡  I'm rewriting the whole bot to be compatible for another database. (mysql)

🟡  Planned and developed are: Welcome messages, YouTube reminders, automatic role assignment and much more, stay tuned!

Verification & v.3.0

The new version is now live. While testing some commands/interactions, I encountered some errors. If the bot does not give you an answer to a command or button click/interaction, please contact me!

🉐  You can now set a new language with "/setlang lang". The language codes are "de" or "en-US" (standard if no language is set) for now. Keep in mind that the bot only accepts these language codes, and more will follow soon!

🗣  I fixed a bug where streaming in your own channel caused some trouble/deleted the channel right away. (I forgot to add one line of code...)

⌛️  The new cooldown commands are: economy-cooldowns" & "pvm cooldowns"

v4.0

I  just pulled out some changes. See the new details below:

⌛️  work start - This command also keeps the cooldown after restarting. If you encounter any problems with the cooldown, feel free to create a ticket or ping me.

⏱  ticket setup - You now have "180" seconds instead of just "60" to create your own ticket embed.

❌  work cooldowns - The command does not show the correct remaining time. I will fix that later.

❗️  All commands are now "guild_only()" which means that you can't use the commands in the private messages of Alchemist. This can't be changed as this interferes with multilanguage for now.

The new update with new commands will be published next week but I do not have a concrete date.


v.4.1

🛠  I fixed an issue where all the moderation commands were not working properly. This was due to a "str" error. All the command also did not work if the member/moderator did not have a profile picture.

💼  You won't run into a cooldown error if you lose your job, apply again and try to work. This error was caused because of my new invented cooldown check. This error does not appear anymore.

Little disclaimer: Since the development of "discord.py" continues, my priority is to re-write the bot and be finished before university starts again. However, some things are not implemented into the library yet which makes development a bit hard. I will keep you updated on that matter.

v.5.0 comes with some improvements in visualization, new moderation commands and autorole will roll-out next week. Update time in 4 days.

Hotfix & v.5.0

v5.0 will appear a bit sooner than announced as I also have some other stuff to do during the day.

The following things got implemented/changed/removed:

📢  -  The "announcement" command now has button support. Now you can simply decide if you want to publish your embed or not by clicking on one of the reactions

💰  -  You can now only earn up to "150" coins with the "/beg" command. I noticed that it was not worth going to work while earning up to "300" coins with one command

💼  -  It is all about time... Want to take a day off from work? No problem! You now have test wise "48" hours of time to go to work before losing your job

✅  -  Autoroles are now enabled. Give members a new role upon joining your server (Please note that it can take up to one hour until all the commands appear for you)

🛠  -  Check out some new moderation commands: "/hackban" (Bans a member that is not on your server via ID), "/slowmode" (Sets a slowmode in a channel)

👀  -  Some changes in visualization but they are not really worth mentioning. I also fixed a bug where a failed "ban/kick/softban" sent out a message. Thanks to Kilian#XXXX for telling me!

👋🏽  -  We say "goodbye" to the "/trivia" commands for now. The commands were not really used and the questions and answers are also not translated yet and probably won't be any time soon...

The new version is finally out, sadly took me longer than expected...

It contains:

📝  -  Namefilter: All new commands start with '/namefilter', explore them. If you encounter any errors or have suggestions, hit me up! (Also if you have nickname suggestions! ;))

🛠  -  **Ticket edit:** I pushed out the new command by accident days ago but you can now edit the #create-ticket message with '/ticket edit'. You maybe have to set up the system again in order for this to work.

Long time no see, but the time has come! Alchemist will get some big updates regarding the ticket & custom channel system.

Changelog:

🆕  |  New commands: '/pvm text', '/ticket category', '/ticket transcript', '/ticket log'

🔒  |  Private text channel if you toggle '/pvm text'. There you will also have your own control menu. (Please note that this is still in some sort of beta)

💬  |  Ticket transcripts are now received if you toggle '/ticket transcript' and set a '/ticket log'

 ❌  |  Since the new commands and events took most of my time I will not publish the 'events' now

In doing so, I would also like to give something back to you! For every upvote, you will get '500' coins for the economy system from now on. You can also set a reminder with the 'votereminder' command. The bot will then contact you '12' hours after your upvote via private message that you can now vote again.

Please note that the bot will also send you a private message after each upvote as a test to reach users outside the support server as well. To be successfully reminded, your private messages must also be open for at least the bot! If you encounter any bugs, feel free to reach out to me!

v12 - Trying to get better

A bit earlier than announced, I am publishing the new version!

The update contains the following things:

📺  |  Try out the new Twitch commands (Starting with /twitch)

💼  |  Introduction of new seasonal jobs, new work-reminder and a few other visual changes.
⚠️  |  I removed the '/work quit' and '/work cooldowns' command. You can check your status by using '/work status'. The new cooldown between two shifts is now 8 hours instead of 6. Please also re-new your '/work reminder' as I was not able to transfer them.

⬆️  |  The new '/votereminder' will now create more reliable tasks and allows you to opt-out of direct messages any time you want. You will also get 1000 coins at the weekend instead of 500 as I am introducing a new shop system in the future. 

⚒️  |  Added a new '/emojisteal' command where you can steal some emojis from other servers. Please note that the bot needs the `manage_emojis` permission in order to function correctly.

🗑️  |  The '/feedback' module and commands are not available anymore, I removed them due to less usage.

The menu is posted in there as well. 💸  |  Use the new "daily" command to get daily coins. Come back at least every 36 hours to not lose your streak!

🎫  |  With the new "ticket-response add" (remove, edit, list) commands you can now set a custom ticket response. The new "ticket setup" and "ticket edit" now also allow you to set a thumbnail, image and some more extras

💕  |  The new "boost message" (toggle, channel, variables, test) commands allow you to send a custom message if someone boosts your server. Bear in mind that you have to enable the Discord system message for this as well!
